Going to be assisting at a con tomorrow

I'm doing a favor for a friend so I'll be at Shumatsucon tomorrow.  I'm going to be helping out with the registration desk.

I'm sure everyone got this news from this morning.  Star Trek wasn't a very big part of my childhood, except my dad watched Next Generation during it's original airing.  In recent years I've been slowly getting introduced to episodes I missed and the older series.

Other than that I'm still taking commissions and freelance work.  I applied for a call center position and I had a pre-emptive vitrual interview.  If I did well I should get an in-person and be able to find an apartment.

Which is for the better considering...

I'm also weighing the pros and cons of a new laptop.  I've already ordered it but I have a few days left to cancel in case I decide to stay with my mac.  In order for me to run Creative Cloud on my Mac I'd have to upgrade to Yosemite, but I doubt my computer can handle it.  It's battery is also needing service.  The cooling system can get LOUD since one of the fans is dying.  However, the laptop was a pretty penny.

I'll keep people updated on what's going on.  I have been working on some 3D stuff and I plan on doing some drawing over the week.  I might be getting my tablet brought to me Sunday, so I can do the digital arts again.
